The Postgrad Common Room in House 7 is a dedicated space for postgraduate students to unwind, study, and socialise. This space is split into two distinct areas: the common room itself and a fully equipped kitchen. The common room provides a comfortable and quiet environment with ample seating, while the kitchen is well-stocked with modern appliances, making it convenient for those who prefer to prepare their meals on campus. Both spaces offer a serene atmosphere, with large windows that bathe the rooms in natural light and offer picturesque views of College Green and Westmoreland Street. However, it’s important to note that the Postgrad Common Room is not fully accessible, as it is located on an upper floor accessible only by stairs. There is also a table available, making it a versatile space suitable for both informal meetings and solo study sessions.

Food and drink are allowed in the common room, and the adjacent kitchen is well-equipped for meal preparation. The kitchen includes a sink, two microwaves, an oven, a hob, a fridge, a freezer, and a toaster, making it convenient for students who bring their own food or wish to prepare meals on-site.
A kettle is available for students to use, making it convenient to prepare hot drinks like tea or coffee.

While the building itself has ramp access and can be entered using a PG T-Card, the narrow corridors and the push/pull door system may pose challenges for some students.
