The ATIC (Assistive Technology and Information Centre) Space, located within the Ussher Library, is a designated study area for students registered with the Disability Service. It offers a mix of individual and shared study spaces designed to provide an accessible and comfortable learning environment. The space includes two individual study rooms for private, focused study, as well as a shared study space with six desks and an open-plan area. The study desks in the open-plan area come equipped with desktop screens to create a more enclosed, distraction-free workspace. This environment caters to a wide range of study needs and promotes inclusivity.

The ATIC Space has been designed to create a quiet, calm study environment. The individual study pods provide a sense of enclosure and reduce external visual distractions. The open-plan area, while offering some exposure to others, is still enclosed with desktop screens to maintain privacy. The overall space benefits from soft, natural lighting and muted colours that contribute to a calming atmosphere. The area is designed to minimise noise, making it suitable for students who are sensitive to sensory overload.

The ATIC Space is fully accessible for students with mobility needs. The library building has lift access, and the pathways within the space are wide and unobstructed. The desks are adjustable, and there is plenty of room between them for comfortable movement. The individual study rooms are also accessible, with doors that are easy to open and close.
