Room 4017 is a vibrant and inviting Student Zone (Zón Mac Léinn) designed for relaxation and socialising. Located within a large academic building, this space features a colourful carpet, diverse furniture options, and numerous tables and seating arrangements. It's an ideal spot for eating lunch, chatting with friends, or taking a break between lectures. Additionally, it offers ample charging points, making it suitable for studying or working on assignments. However, due to its popularity, the room can get busy and noisy during peak times, particularly around lunchtime. [WC] There are gendered, gender-neutral and accessible toilets accessible on same floor

Facilities

The Arts Block Social Space is equipped with seven comfortable sofas, providing ample seating for students. The seating is arranged around small, shin-height tables, making it a suitable spot for casual conversations, group work, or simply unwinding between lectures.
Multiple plug sockets are available throughout, providing convenient access to power for laptops, chargers, and other electronic devices. This makes it easy to stay productive while enjoying the social space.
You are welcome to bring your food and drinks. It's a perfect spot to enjoy a meal or a snack in between classes, and the room's amenities support a relaxed dining experience.

To find Room 4017, enter the academic building and follow the signs directing you to the fourth floor. Once on the fourth floor, look for signage indicating Room 4017. You can also ask for directions at the main reception desk.

The Arts Block Social Space is located in a building that is wheelchair accessible, with both lift and stair access. The floors are carpeted, providing a smooth and comfortable surface for movement. However, the doorways into the social space itself may be challenging to navigate due to the push/pull system. While the area is otherwise accessible, this feature might pose difficulties for some students. Toilets on the same floor include gendered, gender-neutral, and accessible options, ensuring that all students have access to appropriate facilities.
