Description

The Atrium Rooms 2, 3, and 4 are versatile spaces commonly used for a variety of society events. These rooms include the Workshop Room (Atrium Room 2), the Meeting Room (Atrium Room 3), and the Conversation Space (Atrium Room 4). Located within the Atrium building, these rooms offer a convenient setting for student societies to host workshops, meetings, and social gatherings. The space also features a kitchen on the first floor, equipped with essential amenities including microwaves and a sink.

Facilities

Each room is designed to accommodate different types of events. The Workshop Room (Atrium Room 2) is set up with tables and chairs suitable for hands-on activities and collaborative work. The Meeting Room (Atrium Room 3) provides a more formal seating arrangement ideal for discussions and presentations. The Conversation Space (Atrium Room 4) features comfortable seating options for casual chats and networking. Seating can be rearranged to suit the needs of your event.
Each room is equipped with a number of plug sockets to support various electronic devices and equipment used during events. This allows for the easy setup of presentations, laptops, and other essential tech.
Food and drink are generally allowed in these rooms. The kitchen on the first floor provides additional convenience with microwaves and a sink for preparing and cleaning up food and beverages. Please ensure that all food and drink items are cleared away after your event to maintain a clean space.
The nearest kettle from here can be found in the SU Kitchen in House 6.
There are two microwaves available on the first floor of the Atrium building. To access them, head up the stairs and through the door located directly above Atrium Room 2. These microwaves are available for use by all those hosting events in the Atrium Rooms.
The Atrium building is fully accessible to all students. You can find the lift in the corner of the Atrium Hall. Most doors are automated, doors to the three atrium rooms are not.

The Atrium Rooms feature a functional design with a neutral aesthetic. The long and narrow configuration of the rooms can amplify sound, making the space particularly lively during midday events when multiple societies might be using the rooms simultaneously. The kitchen area on the first floor provides natural lighting and a practical environment for meal preparation.

To find the Atrium Rooms, enter the Atrium building and proceed to the first floor. The rooms are clearly marked, with Atrium Room 2, Atrium Room 3, and Atrium Room 4 situated adjacent to each other. For access to the kitchen, follow the stairs up to the first floor and navigate through the door directly above Atrium Room 2.

The Atrium building is equipped with accessible entry points, including ramps.
