Description

The Freeman Library houses a comprehensive collection of books, journals, and maps, as well as past dissertations and theses from Geography students. Located on the ground floor of the Museum Building, the Freeman Library provides a quiet and conducive environment for both individual and group study. Access to the library is only open to students reading geography.

Facilities

The library is equipped with rows of study desks, offering ample seating for students.
There are many plug sockets available, ensuring that you can keep your devices charged while you study.
No food or drink is allowed in the Freeman Library to maintain a clean and quiet study environment.
The nearest kettle from here can be found in the SU Kitchen in House 6.
The nearest microwave from here can be found in the SU Kitchen in House 6.
Unfortunately, the Museum Building, where the Freeman Library is located, is completely physically inaccessible to students who may require accessibility accommodations.

This space offers a quiet and focused environment, ideal for studying. The library’s atmosphere is typically calm, with minimal noise distractions.

The Freeman Library is located on the ground floor of the Museum Building. Once you enter the building, turn left and head down a few steps until you see a door on the left with Freeman Library on it.

While the study space itself is well-equipped and conducive to learning, the Museum Building's lack of accessibility accommodations makes it difficult for all students to utilise this resource.
